Walk-ins, waitlist and enquiries
Not every guest books online. Several intake paths cover the rest, and all of them land in the same diary.
When you'd use it
At the door for walk-ins, when a service is full for the waitlist, and for large or bespoke parties that need a manual confirmation as enquiries.
How it behaves
A walk-in is a booking taken at the door by staff. It uses the same model as an online booking, with a flag set, and can auto-seat straight onto a free table. It then moves through the same statuses as any booking.
When a service is full, guests can join the waitlist in person or online. Stampede notifies them by SMS or email when a table frees up, can hold the table briefly on notify, and manages grace periods and re-notifies so the queue keeps moving, showing each guest an estimated wait and position. Online joining can be capped per day and paused.
An enquiry is a request for a large or bespoke party that the team confirms manually and converts to a booking, carrying any deposit or pre-order across. A booking alert is a guest asking to be told when a preferred, currently unavailable slot opens, which Stampede matches and notifies automatically. For high-demand on-sale releases, a virtual queue holds guests in a lobby and admits them in turn. Guest requirements, such as allergens, dietary needs, a highchair, wheelchair access, a dog or a special occasion, are captured against the booking so the table is ready.
