Changelog

A running log of schema, content and feature updates across the Stampede platform. Reverse-chronological. RSS available on request.

  • 2026-09-24Feature
Ask the menu in a sentence

Guests can search the menu with a sentence such as two kids and someone vegan, and get a shortlist with a reason for each dish. If a menu carries no allergen information, it says so and asks the guest to speak to staff.

  • 2026-09-24Feature
Menu search reads the whole dish

Guest menu search now matches names, descriptions, section headings and dietary tags, so vegan finds vegan dishes, and it highlights the words that matched.

  • 2026-09-24Feature
    Provisional holds

Hold a table for an enquiry before it is confirmed. Holds show in amber everywhere, and confirming one emails the guest their confirmation.

  • 2026-09-24Feature
    Referrals

Share a referral code or link from Connect. The venue you refer gets a free trial, and you are rewarded when it becomes a customer.

  • 2026-09-23Feature
    Jump between menu sections

Guests on long menus can jump straight to a section, and the menu shows which section they are reading.

  • 2026-09-23Feature
    Shuffle food-hall vendors

A food-hall menu can shuffle its vendors for each guest, so nobody always holds the top slot. Any section can be kept in place.

  • 2026-09-23Feature
    Easier editing for long menus

Menu sections now start collapsed, with Expand all and Move to top. Dragging sections, sub-sections and products holds its place and saves once.

  • 2026-09-22Feature
    Guests choose a size

Items sold in more than one size, such as wine by the glass or bottle, now show a size choice with its own price, and the right size reaches the basket.

  • 2026-09-22Feature
    Sub-sections on menus

Menu sections can hold sub-sections, which guests see as labelled groups under their heading. A new checkbox adds every product shown in the picker at once.

  • 2026-09-22Feature
Say how orders reach the guest

Each venue can say whether orders are brought to the table, collected from the counter or the guest's choice. The guest table picker now uses those words.

  • 2026-09-21Feature
Pay now takes the real amount

When a guest chooses Pay now on a full-payment booking, the card form now shows and holds the actual amount due, instead of only saving the card.

  • 2026-09-21Feature
Guests see which choice is missing

If a guest taps Add with a required choice unanswered, the menu now says which one and scrolls to it.

  • 2026-09-21Feature
    Food-hall menus as cards

A food-hall menu can show each vendor or section as a card. Guests pick one, see its dishes, then come back for another.

  • 2026-09-19Feature
    Enquiries workspace

A full-page workspace for enquiries, with a board, task centre, calendar and reports, and a Coordinator that can draft summaries, replies and tasks for you to approve. It is in early access.

  • 2026-09-19Feature
    The feature board is back

Venues can browse the roadmap, vote on features and request new ones at the feature board, signing in with their existing account.

  • 2026-09-19Feature
Import a menu from a PDF or photos

Point the importer at a menu PDF or upload photos of the pages. It reads the dishes, prices and allergens, matches them to your catalogue, and you check each row before it becomes a menu.

  • 2026-09-18Feature
    Your own questions on enquiries

Add your own questions to the enquiry form and let guests choose which booking type or event they are asking about. Answers show on the enquiry and carry into the booking.

  • 2026-09-18Feature
    Per-guest deposits add up

Checkout now shows the right total for per-guest deposits. The amount charged was always correct.

  • 2026-09-18Feature
Duplicated campaigns keep their own tracking

A duplicated campaign's links now carry its own campaign tags, so bookings are credited to the copy. Templates start with blank tags.

  • 2026-09-18Feature
Tell the voice agent about your venue

Voice agent settings have an About the venue field for facts the agent reads before every call, such as parking, the entrance, dogs and private rooms.

  • 2026-09-17Feature
    Voice agent reporting

Venues on the voice agent early access get a Reporting page with calls, bookings, conversion, deposits and guest spend for the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Each booking the agent took opens in the full booking panel.

  • 2026-09-17Feature
    Event pages list their dates

An event's booking page lists its dates, skipping sold-out ones, and offers the event's own start times.

  • 2026-09-17Feature
Menus with photos on the booking page

Menus on the booking page are now photo tiles, and the menu preview leads with its photo. On desktop they sit in the right-hand column under What's on.

  • 2026-09-17Feature
What's on leads the booking page

On desktop, the booking page opens its right-hand column with up to three upcoming events as photo cards. Events look the same wherever they appear.

  • 2026-09-17Feature
    Booking searches you can share

The booking page keeps the guest's date, party size and time in its link, so a reload, a shared link or the back button returns to the same search.

  • 2026-09-17Feature
    A profile page for guests

Guests can sign in with an email code to see and edit their profile, choose email and SMS marketing for each business they are opted in with, or delete their account.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
Every menu on the booking page

Where a venue attaches more than one menu, guests can now open every one of them, with a Which menu? chooser showing each menu's image and description.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
    Download table QR codes

The venue QR code and every table's QR code can be downloaded as a PNG, named after the venue and table.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
    Place cards in Ordering

Place cards have moved from Bookings to Ordering and open on pre-orders, with a search to choose guests and set-menu dishes printed under their courses. Roles without Ordering no longer see them.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
Party sizes that fit the booking

The booking page now offers party sizes within each booking type's or event's own limits, so a private dining room for 8 to 20 no longer offers a table for two.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
One QR code for every table

A single venue-wide QR code sends guests to a table picker before they order. It never needs reprinting when tables change.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
    Import loyalty members

Bring members and points across from another system with a CSV. Check the rows, run the import and watch the counts, with the option to add points to existing balances and to hold emails until launch.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
    Your terms shown at checkout

The booking checkout now shows your deposit and cancellation terms under the card form, with a tick to accept them before paying.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
    Add-ons with photos at checkout

Add-ons at checkout show their photo and open a detail view with a description and quantity, so guests can see what they are adding.

  • 2026-09-15Feature
    Square quick service mode

Quick service venues can stop Square till orders being matched to bookings by table. Guests attach to the bill by scanning their QR code, and the daily report drops figures that only make sense for bookings.

  • 2026-09-15Content
Product reference · June to August 2026 releases folded in

Smart Seating, shorter sittings, Replay and Shadow mode on Availability and turn times. Phone bookings, wallet confirmations and PIN handover on Table bookings · How it works. Refunds, pay-at-venue upgrades and place cards on Deposits, pre-orders and charges. Ticketed events rewritten on Booking types and events. Table ordering, shared baskets and gift cards at checkout across the PayOS pages. Square reward vouchers and booking/event passes on Loyalty. SNAPguard page corrected to the two deployment modes. Allow and block lists, same-day scheduling, quick campaigns and tracked booking buttons on Email & SMS.

  • 2026-09-14Feature
New booking page for every venue

Every booking link now opens the new booking page. Older links redirect instantly and keep the date, booking type and campaign tags they carried.

  • 2026-09-14Feature
    Clearer balance payments

The page guests open to pay a balance now says Balance payment, shows the amount as a balance and confirms when the booking is paid in full. It also shows your payment message.

  • 2026-09-14Feature
    Website forms keep their text

Editing a website form now opens with its saved Message and Terms text, where before these could appear blank.

  • 2026-09-14Feature
    Menus now live in Ordering

The Menus, Items and Modifier Groups pages have moved from Bookings to Ordering, where items arrive with their modifiers from Square. Old links redirect.

  • 2026-09-14Feature
    Pre-order fixes

Guests pre-ordering now see only the menu attached to their booking type. A guest added by name alone no longer blanks the pre-order page.

  • 2026-09-13Feature
    Take full payment for bookings

Venues can charge the full amount for a booking, not just a deposit, on booking types, events and special dates. Guests pay now or settle the balance later, and staff can see balances and request payment.

  • 2026-09-13Feature
    Set menus

A menu item can be a set menu whose choices are the dishes, across ordering, booking pre-orders and the booking page. Guests pick a dish for each course and staff see every course listed.

  • 2026-09-13Feature
    Ordering in Connect

The Ordering section, with menus, products, tables and orders, is now open to your team, except front-of-house and IT support roles. Order statuses read in plain English, from Received to Completed.

  • 2026-09-11Feature
    Connect Square from Products

A venue with no Square catalogue can connect Square from the Ordering Products page and sync its items straight in.

  • 2026-09-11Feature
Forwarded numbers for the voice agent

Venues on the voice agent early access can list the numbers that forward to their voice line. Calls from those numbers are asked for the guest's own phone number, so bookings are not logged against a shared landline.

  • 2026-09-11Feature
    Brand kits for ordering menus

Each ordering menu can use its own brand kit, so guests see your logo, name and colour on the menu and on the icon they save to their home screen.

  • 2026-09-11Feature
    Audiences by workflow email

The audience builder can now filter guests by whether they received, opened or clicked a workflow email, picked by name or subject.

  • 2026-09-10Feature
    A new staff QR scanner

The scanner for gift cards, vouchers and loyalty codes is now a full page with a torch, manual entry and barcode gun support. The camera pauses while a result is open, so a code cannot be redeemed twice.

  • 2026-09-10Feature
    Move and merge menu sections

In the menu editor, move a product to another section, or merge a whole section into another, without adding items again.

  • 2026-09-09Feature
    Build a menu from Square

Generate from Square turns a venue's Square catalogue into a draft menu, with categories as sections and their hours carried over. Name it, then create it as an inactive menu ready to edit.

  • 2026-09-09Feature
    Steadier QR ordering

Guests scanning a table with two live menus now get the menu chooser instead of an error, and an old basket is cleared when you change the live menu. When no menu is live, guests see a clear page with a Check again button.

  • 2026-09-08Feature
Products show where they are sold

Ordering shows which venues sell each product, based on Square, and the menu editor's product picker offers only what the menu's venues sell. A Square sync now tells you what changed at each venue.

  • 2026-09-08Feature
    Multi-account ordering

One menu can span several venues, and several Square accounts. Guests see one menu and pay once. You pick which venue takes the money, so the whole payment settles to that Square location and its bank account, and every other venue’s part of the order is marked paid.

  • 2026-09-06Feature
    New mobile booking search

On phones, the booking search opens as three large tiles for guests, date and time, each with its own picker. Events, enquiries and FAQs now sit in one bar at the foot of the screen.

  • 2026-09-04Feature
    Enquiries that need a reply

A new Needs a reply filter puts the guests who have waited longest first, with the number of unanswered messages and how long they have waited. A closed enquiry that gets a new guest message stays visible.

  • 2026-09-03Feature
    Marketplace, API keys and webhooks

Marketplace in the sidebar now has three pages: Apps, API keys and webhooks, and a link to the developer documentation.

  • 2026-09-02Feature
Menus open faster from a QR scan

When a guest scans a table code, the menu now appears straight away instead of loading in two steps. Adding the first item no longer jolts the page.

  • 2026-09-01Feature
    Limits on Square reward discounts

Square reward discounts can be limited to one qualifying item, and percentage discounts can carry a maximum value in pounds. Reopening a reward's Square setup now shows the discount already linked to it.

  • 2026-09-01Feature
    Shorter sittings

Smart Seating can trim a sitting by 10, 20 or 30 minutes when that is what opens a slot, optionally only for smaller parties. Guests always see the sitting length before they book.

  • 2026-08-31Feature
Square invoices on bookings and enquiries

Venues with Square invoicing can view, send, publish and cancel invoices from a booking's details and from a new Invoices tab on an enquiry. The Charges page can filter to invoice payments.

  • 2026-08-24Feature
Smart Seating · Replay and Shadow mode

The optimiser re-plans the room against every request, moving at most two unarrived bookings and never a locked, seated, ordering or joined table. Replay runs it read-only over past dates; Shadow mode scores live searches without changing what guests see.

  • 2026-08-24Feature
Table ordering · guests order and pay from their phone

Scan the table code, order from the live Square catalogue, pay through Square. Separate table and collection links, modifier rules enforced, age confirmation on alcohol, shareable basket, Square gift cards accepted at checkout.

  • 2026-08-24Feature
    Square reward vouchers

Loyalty points convert into a Square gift card at a venue-set rate, or into a Square-linked reward with the customer group created for you. Every card issued is listed with balance, state, points cost and member.

  • 2026-08-21Feature
    Phone bookings

An AI host on the venue’s own number checks live availability and creates the booking during the call, tagged as a phone booking, with duration, outcome and a full transcript logged.

  • 2026-08-21Feature
    Ticketed events

Events sell tickets with a price, cap and ticket types for a date or series, paid at purchase through the venue’s own Stripe account. One wallet pass per guest, scan or door-list check-in. A ticket order is not a Booking and does not appear on the day planner.

  • 2026-08-21Feature
    Wallet booking confirmations

Booking confirmations become branded Apple and Google Wallet passes carrying date, time and party size, updating when the booking changes, with a lock-screen reminder.

  • 2026-08-13Feature
    Refund deposits directly

Full or partial refunds of deposits and cancellation charges from the booking, guest notified automatically, reason recorded.

  • 2026-08-12Feature
    Handover by PIN

Switch the signed-in user at the pass with a four-digit PIN and resume the last screen.

  • 2026-08-11Feature
Pay at venue · print place cards

Booking upgrades can be settled at the venue instead of prepaid. Place cards print from a booking’s pre-orders with names, dishes and dietary needs.

  • 2026-08-09Feature
    Smarter email buttons

Swap templates mid-edit in workflow emails; point buttons at the booking page with tracking added automatically.

  • 2026-08-02Feature
    Branded loading

Loading states carry the venue’s branding instead of a generic spinner.

  • 2026-07-31Feature
    Team invites, visible

Pending invitations show in the nav, with clearer errors and per-user venue access screens.

  • 2026-07-29Feature

Navigation and home rebuilt, with a proper mobile nav.

  • 2026-07-28Feature

Campaigns can be scheduled for later today, not just tomorrow onwards.

  • 2026-07-25Feature
    Smoother UniFi handoff

The captive portal honours controller timing on auth handoff, so slower UniFi controllers stop dropping guests.

  • 2026-07-24Feature

Venues with Sonos on SNAPguard get a music control on the day planner. Audiences are built and previewed on one page, from a phone too. Campaigns page rebuilt with delete confirmation.

  • 2026-07-23Feature
    Email allow and block lists

Blocked and always-allowed addresses managed from the marketing screens.

Captive reports and the Wi-Fi reporting page rebuilt around the questions operators actually ask.

  • 2026-07-02Feature
