Do I have to change anything in Square to connect?

No. You authorise Stampede against your existing Square account. The team configures the connection with you and checks it before you go live.

Will my staff need to use two systems during service?

They keep using Square at the till. Stampede adds the guest to what they already see there, and bookings, table orders and loyalty arrive on the same till.

Does a menu change in Square show up in Stampede?

Yes. The menu comes from your Square catalogue, so a change made in Square is the change everywhere it appears.

Can a reward be spent at the till?

Yes, in two ways: as a Square gift card created from points, or as a Square-linked discount tied to a reward.

We run several venues on different Square accounts. Does that work?

Yes. Each venue's items come from its own catalogue, one menu can span them, and you name the venue whose Square location takes the payment.

What syncs with Square

When you'd use it

When deciding how Stampede fits alongside your Square setup, or when your team wants to know what they will see on the till and what they will see in Stampede.

How it behaves

You keep the Square account, hardware and menu you already use. Square continues to process every payment, and Stampede never handles raw card data.

Information flows both ways. Square tells Stampede what was ordered and paid, so the guest profile, loyalty and reporting stay current. Stampede sends orders, bookings, guest details and rewards to the till, so the team sees them where they already work.

From Square to Stampede

Your menu: Categories, items, prices, photos and modifiers come from your Square catalogue, so there is one menu to maintain.
Closed bills: Spend and line items land on the guest's profile when the bill closes.
Loyalty earning: Spend on a linked guest's bill earns points automatically, with nothing for staff to key in.
Revenue for reporting: Campaigns and bookings are measured against real Square sales, not estimates.
Walk-ins: A walk-in rung up at the till appears in the day-planner.
Terminal status: The live table view shows which Square Terminals are paired and online.

From Stampede to Square

Table orders: Orders placed from the table ring in at the till, already tagged with their table.
Seated bookings: Seat a booking in Stampede and it opens on the till, tied to the right table.
The guest at the till: Staff can link a guest to their profile at the till, carrying their tags, dietary notes and allergies onto the order.
Loyalty redemption: Points can be applied as a tender at the till.
Gift cards: Members can turn points into a Square gift card, accepted at the till and at table-ordering checkout.
Square-linked rewards: A guided setup creates the customer group and the linked discount in Square for you, so the reward comes off the bill at the till.

Configuration and options

Official partner: PayOS is listed in Square's partner ecosystem and connects through your own Square account.
One menu: The Square catalogue is the menu, everywhere it appears.
Table mapping: Square tables are mapped to your reservation tables, so a booking connects to its order.
Multi-account menus: One menu can span venues in different Square accounts. You choose the venue whose Square location takes the payment.
No card data: Payments stay with Square, and Stampede never handles raw card numbers.

Good to know

Table mapping is set up once per venue. If you change your floor plan in Square, update the mapping so bookings keep connecting to the right orders.
Deposits are taken online at booking and recorded against the booking.
Everything outside the till, including bookings, Wi-Fi, marketing, reviews and loyalty, works without Square. Connecting Square adds live spend and the till-side features above.
