What guest data Stampede stores, where, and for how long
What your Wi-Fi login page collects, what else each login records, where guest data is kept, and how it gets deleted.

In short: Stampede keeps the login fields you switch on, plus device and session details. Guests are never deleted automatically: email support to delete them.
What your Wi-Fi login page collects
- Go to Wi-Fi › Captive Portal Settings, then choose your venue.
- Under Guest details, look at the list. These are the only fields guests see and fill in to connect.
The fields you can use are Email, First name, Last name, Phone, Postcode, Date of birth, Gender, Country and Marketing opt-in. Date of birth asks for the day and month only, not the year. Answers to your own questions are kept too. A paid login page asks for an email address only.
With Apple Sign In on, a guest can fill the form from their Apple account instead of typing.
What else each login records
- The guest's device: its type, make, model, operating system, browser and MAC address.
- Each Wi-Fi session: when it started and ended, the data used and the access point.
- The guest's consent, shown as Email, SMS and Data on their profile.
What guests agree to
The Terms and Conditions on the login page have Simple Terms, Marketing and Full Terms tabs. Simple Terms tells guests that personal information is collected, that Stampede does not sell personal data, and that they can ask Stampede about their data at dpo@stampede.ai. When you collect Email, it also says that clicking I Agree agrees to data collection by your venue, your organisation and Stampede.
Marketing asks to send them emails, and texts too when you collect Phone.
Where it is kept
- Guests are kept on your organisation's Stampede account, with one profile per guest shared by all your venues.
- Wi-Fi, bookings, orders, gift cards and reviews all add to that same profile. See read a guest's profile.
- Every interaction records its venue and where it came from. See every guest interaction.
How long it is kept
- There is no setting to delete guests automatically after a set time.
- Deleting an audience removes the list, not the guests in it.
- Our team can permanently delete a guest by their email address, or every guest in an audience. It cannot be undone.
- An export file is deleted about a day after it is ready. Export again for a fresh copy.
To have guests deleted:
Email support at agent@stampede.ai with:
- The guest's email address, or the audience name.
- Whether they asked for deletion, and the date they asked.
Check it worked
Open a guest from Customers › Search: their details, consent and Wi-Fi sessions match what is listed above.
Good to know
- Switch off any field under Guest details that you do not need. Fewer fields means less to look after.
- For one guest's request to delete or copy their data, see a guest asks you to delete or export their data.
- Marketing consent is set up on the same page. See what guest data your Wi-Fi collects.
- To take a copy of your guests, see export your guest data.
- Only Admin, Moderator, Marketing, Reports and IT can see Wi-Fi.
