Wi-Fi stopped working after an internet or router change

Changed your internet provider, router or network controller? What to check, and what support needs to set it up again.

1 min read

In short: restart your kit in the order below. If guests still cannot get online, the link to Stampede usually needs setting up again, so email support.

Restart your kit

  1. If you have a SnapGuard box, unplug it from the power.
  2. Fully restart the new router and wait until it is back online.
  3. Plug your SnapGuard box back in.
  4. On Wi-Fi, with your venue chosen, check the status top right says Online.

Check it worked

On your own phone, join the guest Wi-Fi, complete the login page and open a website. It should load.

If that does not fix it

Email support at agent@stampede.ai with:

  • Your new internet provider, router or network controller, and the date of the change.
  • A screenshot of what the guest sees.
  • Your IT provider's contact details, if you have one.

Good to know

  • Support may need access to your network controller, from you or your IT provider.
  • Own hardware (not UniFi)? With your venue chosen, Wi-Fi › Hardware › Setup shows the details your controller needs. See connect your own Wi-Fi hardware.
  • UniFi? See connect a UniFi controller.
  • Only Admin, Moderator, Marketing, Reports and IT can see Wi-Fi.
