Guest Wi-Fi

Change your Wi-Fi name (SSID)

Need a new Wi-Fi name (SSID), or is it spelled wrong? Change it yourself on a SnapGuard box, or ask support.

1 min read

In short: with a SnapGuard box, change the SSID in Networks, click Save, then Build. Otherwise, support changes it for you.

On a SnapGuard box

This can take guest Wi-Fi offline: every phone, till and card machine has to rejoin with the new name. If you are not sure, contact support before you save.

  1. Choose your venue in the venue switcher, top left (on a phone, tap Menu first).
  2. Go to Wi-Fi › SnapGuard › Networks.
  3. Click the network to rename.
  4. Under Broadcast SSID, change the SSID (up to 32 characters). Not there? Your box has no Wi-Fi radios of its own, so ask support.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Build in the Build pending bar at the bottom, then wait for it to finish.

More detail: change your Wi-Fi password, network name or speed limit.

No SnapGuard under Wi-Fi

Your Wi-Fi runs on other hardware, so support changes the name. Email support at agent@stampede.ai with:

  • Your venue name and current Wi-Fi name.
  • The new name, spelled exactly as you want it.
  • Whether it is the guest network or another one.

Check it worked

Find the new name in your phone's Wi-Fi list and join it. The login page should open.

Good to know

  • Guests who saved the old name need to join the new one.
  • Only Admin, Moderator, Marketing, Reports and IT can see Wi-Fi.
