List the access points, cameras, printers and other kit on your venue network, scan for new ones and spot security risks.
1 min read · Updated
In short: open your device list to see your kit, and switch to Discover to scan for devices you have not added.
Open the device list
- Choose your venue in the venue switcher, top left (on a phone, tap Menu first).
- Go to Wi-Fi › SnapGuard › Devices. With your own Wi-Fi kit, use Wi-Fi › Hardware › Access Points.
- Type in Search name, IP, MAC, vendor…, or use the filter button for Device type and Sort by.
- Use the view button, top right, to switch between List, Dashboard, Map and Discover.
Scan for new devices
- Switch to Discover and click Scan network (or Refresh if you have scanned before).
- On a large network, click the Sweep button for it, or Sweep anyway if a box asks. Or pick a smaller network.
- Click Export to save the list.
Check it worked
Your kit shows in the list with its Activity. After a scan, Discover shows when it was last Scanned.
Network scan unavailable
The device could not be reached through your SnapGuard box. Check your SnapGuard health first. Email support at agent@stampede.ai with:
- Your venue name.
- A screenshot of the Devices page.
- The device you expected, with its IP or MAC address if you know it.
Good to know
- A red message about default admin credentials means someone could log in with the factory password, so ask your IT person to change those passwords straight away.
- A warning that devices expose an admin login page means each one needs a strong password.
- Only support or your IT person should use Test default credentials.
- For guests who are online, use Sessions instead.
- Only Admin, Moderator, Marketing, Reports and IT can see Wi-Fi.
