Stampede says subscription required, or guests see a billing message
An unpaid invoice locks Stampede and the Wi-Fi login page. Pay it from Billing, or tell support if you have already paid.

In short: an unpaid invoice locks Stampede. Pay it from Account › Billing › Manage account, or email support if you have already paid.
- 1Most likelyAn invoice is unpaid
- 2Guests see a billing message on the Wi-Fi
- 3You have already paid
- 4There is no Manage account button
- 5It says more contacts or venues are required
When your subscription is not active, most of Stampede shows Subscription required with a Contact support button. Billing, Team, your Profile and Notifications still open, so you can sort it out.
An invoice is unpaid
This is the most likely cause. A payment that failed and was not paid in time stops the subscription.
- Go to Account › Billing. Status may show Past due or Inactive.
- Click Manage account. Your billing account opens in a new tab.
- Update your card if it was declined.
- Pay every invoice that shows as unpaid.
When the payment is confirmed, your venues come back on.
Guests see a billing message on the Wi-Fi
Your Wi-Fi login page shows guests Account needs attention, with a billing message, instead of letting them log in. The cause is the same unpaid invoice: pay it as above. Once payment is updated, the login page works again. See the Wi-Fi billing message.
You have already paid
Usually the payment has not been matched to your organisation yet, for example a direct debit still going through, or a billing account that is not linked to this organisation. Our team checks and links it.
Email support at agent@stampede.ai with:
- Your organisation name.
- The email address your invoices go to.
- An invoice number, or the date and amount you paid.
There is no Manage account button
- Billing is handled by our team: email support to pay or to get your invoices.
- Billing is managed by another company: your venues sit under a parent account, so contact them.
- No plan shown at all: the organisation has no subscription. Email support to get set up.
It says more contacts or venues are required
A warning that more contacts are required to keep using marketing, Wi-Fi and inbox means you have gone over your contact allowance. Add contacts with Upgrade contact limit on Billing, or click the banner to talk to support. For venues, talk to support.
Check it worked
Reload Stampede. The Subscription required page is gone and Status on Billing shows Active.
Good to know
- Only Admin and the organisation owner see Billing. Anyone else should ask them to pay.
- Our team never asks for card details by email or phone.
