The Square connection dropped: reconnect and check what broke
Square orders or bookings stopped syncing? Check Square POS Overview, reconnect and map venues, then check table matches and products.

In short: on Square POS › Overview, check your account and each venue are still linked. Reconnect or map again, then check tables and products.
Find what dropped
Go to Square POS › Overview, then use the case that matches.
The account has gone
You see Connect your Square account instead of Connected accounts. Reconnect and map each location. See disconnect or reconnect Square.
A location has no venue
- Click Map to venue on that location. It also shows when the linked venue cannot be found.
- Pick your venue. A venue marked already mapped is linked to another location.
Reservation API is not Active
Click Activate. Pending with requires Square Plus means the location needs Square for Restaurants Plus or Premium.
Square Loyalty says reconnect
On Square POS › Square Loyalty, click Reconnect Square, then sign in and allow access.
Then check what broke
- Go to Square POS › Table Mappings, then choose your venue.
- Click Link to Square on any table with no Square ref. If a warning mentions a deleted table, click Repair.
- If you use Ordering, run Sync from Square on Ordering › Products.
Check it worked
On Overview, each location shows its venue instead of Map to venue, and Reservation API reads Active.
If that does not fix it

- The Square account and location.
- Roughly when it stopped working.
- A screenshot of Overview.
Good to know
- Disconnect account unlinks every location on that account, so map each one again.
- Loyalty points missed while Square was down can be caught up by support.
