Set up pre-orders for bookings

In short: build the menu in Ordering › Menus, turn on Pre-ordering, then attach it in Main Settings › Attach menus.

Build the menu

1. Go to Ordering › Menus.
2. Click Create menu, or open the menu you want to use.
3. Under Live at, include the venue that takes the bookings.
4. Add its sections and products. See build an ordering menu.

Turn on pre-ordering

1. On Menus, turn on the menu's Active switch.
2. Turn on its Pre-ordering switch. On a phone, open the row's three dots and tick Pre-ordering.

A message confirms the menu is now taking pre-orders.

Offer it on your booking page

1. Go to Bookings › Main Settings › Attach menus, then choose your venue.
2. Under Menus, choose the menu (under Base configuration if you use booking types).
3. Click Save changes.
4. With booking types, choose each type's menus under Booking types. Each type saves on its own Save button.

Check it worked

Make a test booking on your booking page for that venue. After you choose a time, the menu should be offered for pre-order.

Good to know

• Attach menus only shows for venues linked to Square. Its wording still says Square catalogue, but the menus it lists are your Ordering menus.
• Ordering only shows once ordering is on for your organisation. If it says Ordering is not switched on, ask your Stampede contact.
• The pre-order cut-off and how guests pay are not on the menu's Policy tab at the moment. Ask support if you need them changed.
• For a booking type offered as an add-on, Offer its pre-order menus under Add-ons decides whether its menus are offered too.
• Only Admin, Moderator, General Manager and Reports can open Main Settings. FOH and IT cannot see Ordering.
