No-show deposit
A no-show deposit is a payment a restaurant or venue takes when a guest books, held against the reservation and kept or charged if the guest fails to turn up or cancels too late. It gives the booking a cost to abandon, which makes it the main lever venues use to reduce no-shows.
How stampede does it.
Deposits are collected online at the point of booking and recorded against that booking, with cancellation charges and no-show rules the venue controls. Venues can also take the full amount upfront. The booking lands on the live day planner and feeds the same guest profile as Wi-Fi, payments, reviews and marketing.
