Create loyalty rewards

In short: in Loyalty › Rewards, click Create reward, set the Points value and turn on Active.

Create a reward

1. Go to Loyalty › Rewards, then choose your scheme.
2. Click Create reward.
3. Add the Name, Description and Image guests see.
4. Set the Points value needed, and any Redemption limit or Reward tag.
5. Under Availability, turn on Active (it starts off). Add a Valid to date if needed.
6. Click Create reward. The window stays open for the Square steps.

Make it a free item on Square

This shows once Square is connected and the reward is saved.

1. Under Square redemption, click Set up Square redemption. If you closed the window, click Edit on the reward first.
2. Check the Discount name. Type starts on Percentage off at 100.
3. Set Maximum discount value (£) to the item's price, or the dearest item in a category.
4. Turn off Applies to all items and pick the Items or Categories.
5. Leave Limit to one item on and click Save discount & continue.
6. Repeat for each Square account, then click Done.

Check it worked

The reward shows Active, and each Square customer group shows Ready.

Good to know

• Square discounts every matching item on a bill, so Maximum discount value (£) stops one free drink becoming several.
• With Active on, you can only set an end date. Set Valid from while Active is off.
• For money off the bill, use Fixed amount off.
• Square's own loyalty programme is separate. See see your Square Loyalty programme and members.
• Only Admin, Moderator, General Manager, Bookings Manager and Marketing can see Loyalty.
