Walk-in
A walk-in is a guest who arrives at a restaurant, pub or bar without a reservation and is seated or served on the spot. Walk-ins are often a large share of trade, especially in pubs and cafés, but because they never book, most venues hold no name, contact details or visit history for them.
How stampede does it.
A branded guest Wi-Fi turns every walk-in into an opt-in contact, feeding one guest profile the venue owns. A walk-in rung up at the Square till appears back in Stampede, and walk-ins can join a virtual queue and get a text when a table frees. Reporting counts walk-ins alongside covers, no-shows and bookings.

Covers
Covers are the number of guests a restaurant, pub or hotel serves, counted per person rather than per table or per booking, so a table of four is four covers.
Guest Wi-Fi marketing
Guest Wi-Fi marketing is the practice of using a venue’s free public Wi-Fi to collect guest contact details and marketing consent, then using that data to reach those guests again.
Table management
Table management is the software a venue uses to plan and run its floor: which tables exist, how they combine, and which bookings and walk-ins sit where across a service.
