Marketing consent
Marketing consent is a person’s clear, freely given agreement to receive marketing, recorded so it can be shown later. In the UK, email and SMS marketing falls under UK GDPR and PECR, which generally require an opt-in before sending and an easy way to opt out. This is a summary, not legal advice.
How stampede does it.
On the guest Wi-Fi, marketing consent is captured at the point of login and stored against the guest, and loyalty sign-up takes the email and the marketing opt-in in one step. Email, SMS and data opt-ins are tracked per guest, per channel. Campaigns reach only guests who opted in on that channel, and anyone can opt out at any time.
