June Product Updates
The biggest trading summer in years is almost here. Between the World Cup and the long stretch of warm-weather trading that follows it, venues are about to get busy — and the difference between a good summer and a great one comes down to how much of that demand you actually capture.
So this month, we've focused on exactly that. Bookings lead the way: filling tables when you're sold out, selling more before guests arrive, and showing you precisely what's working. There's also news for Wi-Fi, guest profiles, loyalty and your inbox. Here's everything that's now live.
Bookings: ready for a fully-booked summer
Never lose a cancelled table again
Fully booked used to be the end of the conversation. Now it's the start of one.
Our improved waitlist lets guests register interest in a sold-out slot. The moment a table frees up, they're notified automatically — so cancellations refill themselves without anyone lifting a finger. On a sold-out match day or a packed Saturday, that's the difference between an empty table and another covered shift.
We've also made the waitlist clearer end to end: simpler wording, a "Join the waitlist" button that now sits naturally on your booking page, and reliable notifications that only ever point guests to times that are genuinely free.
Pre-order menus that do the selling for you
Pre-orders only work as well as the menu guests see — so we've made that menu a lot more appetising.
Items synced from Square now bring through their full descriptions and images. Instead of a plain list, guests get a proper look at what's on offer, which means they order more, and they order it before they've even sat down. Your kitchen knows what's coming, service runs smoother, and spend is captured earlier.
Everyone on the booking gets the chance to order, too — guests added to a reservation now reliably receive their pre-order invitation.
See exactly what's driving your bookings
You can't grow what you can't measure. This month's reporting upgrades make it far easier to see where your covers are coming from.
Bookings can now be broken down by marketing campaign, so you can tell which emails, ads and posts are actually filling tables. Google Reserve appears as its own booking source, giving you a clearer picture of where guests are coming from. And a redesigned booking-trend chart — with real calendar dates and a day, week or month toggle — makes spotting patterns genuinely quick.
Know your guests better
If you ask guests a custom question at sign-up — something like "Reason for visit" — that answer now surfaces where you can use it.
Custom question responses now appear directly on the guest profile, and you can map those columns when importing a CSV. The data you collect finally lives alongside everything else you know about a guest, ready to segment and act on.
A quick win for Inbox
Conversations now sort by most recent activity, so the latest replies always rise to the top, and enquiry emails keep their formatting (bold, links and layout) whether you're reading them or writing them.
Under the hood
We've also put serious work into the foundations, with a large reliability push on the bookings platform. The result is a faster, more stable system with fewer background errors — exactly what you want underneath you as you head into your busiest months.
Get set for summer
A big trading window is only an opportunity if you're ready to make the most of it. Waitlists to fill every seat, pre-orders that sell before guests arrive, and reporting that shows you what's working — it's all live now.
