This week we launched AI-powered segmentation in Stampede Marketing. It enables marketing teams and operators to build more detailed audiences, at a hugely increased speed.
Most audience-building tools require the user to know all the possible fields and inputs. Then you have to translate the audience you want into those fields and inputs. Not easy. AI Segments cuts out the complexity and uses a natural language request to translate for you.
It cuts down on time (and head-scratching), and it opens the door to more detailed, more valuable segments.
Anyone – marketer or not – can simply ask the AI builder about an audience and it will deliver. Here are some examples that we’ve already tried ourselves:
- Show me customers with a birthday next month who have not been in the venue for 3 months
- Give me a list of guests who said they like spicy food in our survey
- Build an audience of people who like live sport and have been in the venue at least 2 times in the past month
As you can tell from some of those examples it can also be used to deliver insight on your customer database. You can get numerical counts on these kinds of queries in seconds, helping you find more opportunities in the database for campaigns, promotions and events that you might not have tried before.
Getting Started
AI Segments is now available for all Stampede users. It’s located in the Marketing area of your Organisation account, under “Segments”. Book a call to see it first-hand if you don’t have a Stampede account yet.
- Start by entering your prompt and hit Generate, it will create the segment.
- Then you can adjust the prompt and go again or adjust the segment manually.
- When you’re happy, smash the Create button and the segment will be added to your list of audiences.
You can use these segments for Quick, Bulk or Automation campaigns. They can also be edited at any time.
Note: If you want to send marketing campaigns by email or SMS you will need the Marketing module in your plan.
Pro Tips
It will help to have an understanding of what data sources are in your account already. Take a few minutes to review what’s in your plan so you can ask the right questions of the AI segment builder.
This includes whatever tags you have used in your database and uploads so far. These are going to be super handy for bespoke segments. Get started with using tags soon if you haven’t already.
To practise the prompts – try recreating an existing segment using the AI builder (you don’t have to Create the duplicate)
Enhance existing segments – start by having AI Segments rebuild an existing segment (preferably a large one), and then add another more detailed dimension to it.
Don’t forget to use venue names – the system can read your account so asking it for “People who visited The Red Lion last month” will work!
