Firstly we’d like to thank everyone who has been in touch already to find out more about using us to help with the contact detail collection.

As promised yesterday, we’d like to share an example of a fantastic reopening announcement email sent by The Waterway restaurant in the last couple of days. It’s one of the first reopening emails that we’ve seen but it really stood out.

It starts with giving customers a taste of what to look forward to when returning. Then goes on to a six point breakdown of the measures they’ve taken to keep everyone safe, followed by a neat list of nine important updates to how things will operate at the restaurant.

The list is extensive but not overly long. It covers ordering and paying, access to the venue, reservations, data collection and more. Everything that customers will need and want to know in advance.

We especially like the picture of a staff member in a branded face mask for The Waterway!

The email is a great showcase of how to reassure customers and generate demand at the same time at the start of your reopening communications. You can view the email in full here.
