What’s On This Week? – 21/09/2020
According to the calendar, it’s the first official day of Autumn this week, which already is a treasure trove of inspiration. Changing seasons, changing ingredients, changing menus.
For this week, we’ve got these three topics to inspire your social media and email content.
Tuesday 22nd – National Ice Cream Cone Day
True fans of ice cream know it can be enjoyed all year round. A luscious multi-scoop cone with all the toppings will look great in social media feeds. Try asking fans and followers to tag who they’d get a cone with to celebrate the day.
If you don’t serve ice cream cones, Tuesday is also white chocolate day which can provide just as big a visual impact on social media.

Friday 25th – National Cooking Day
We might have passed the primetime of virtual cooking demos, but National Cooking Day is a great opportunity to record a new video demo, or simply share one you recorded a few months ago again with customers and fans.
You could go down the route of how to make a favourite dish super-quick or a longer more detailed presentation. Check out this article about cooking video best practice, using Wagamama’s example.

Saturday 26th – Better Breakfast Day
The fast pace of modern daily life often makes many people skimp on or miss breakfast entirely, and Better Breakfast Day aims to remind us all of the importance of that first meal.
If you offer a healthy and hearty breakfast menu, this is an ideal day to show it off. A one day offer could be just the incentive people need to stop by and fuel up properly in the morning.
Otherwise, there are lots of breakfast dishes that make for great visual content, like pancake stacks, health-food bowls and eggs of all kinds.
Top tip: Schedule social media posts for Thursday or Friday.
