Stampede Spotlights Guest Engagement Technology at Hospitality Tech Expo (ExCel London, 30 Sept – 1 Oct 2025)
  • Unified platform equips hospitality teams to boost revenue, retention and efficiency
  • Stampede to provide a talk about AI for the hospitality sector that demystifies AI

London, UK, 5 August 2025 –  Stampede, a provider of unified guest engagement technology, will exhibit its solutions at Hospitality Tech Expo, ExCel London, 30 September – 1 October 2025 (Stand HT 112). From the first customer visit to lifelong loyalty, Stampede equips restaurants, pubs, bars and hotels with a platform that enables them to boost revenue, retention and efficiency from one seamless AI-enhanced platform. This includes marketing CRM, guest Wi-Fi, table booking management, reviews management, and digital loyalty software.

The Hospitality Tech Expo provides an opportunity for delegates to deepen their industry knowledge, while connecting with experts across the hospitality sector. It runs alongside six industry-leading events, and is the largest B2B event for hospitality industry growth.

In addition to exhibiting at Hospitality Tech Expo, Stampede’s Founder, Patrick Clover, will speak at the conference about artificial intelligence (AI). His presentation is titled: ‘AI. It’s not what you think’. It demystifies and challenges misconceptions about AI in hospitality. A short synopsis about his talk follows (date/time to be confirmed by the show organisers).

AI: It’s not what you think

AI isn’t what you think it is – and that’s exactly the point. This talk cuts through the noise to show how so-called ‘artificial intelligence’ is really just a smarter way to spot patterns in your data and turn them into sharper decisions: who’s likely to book, who’s dropping off, when to run a promo, and when to hold back. We’ll explore how pattern recognition is quietly powering better operations across hospitality – from anticipating guest behaviour and boosting covers, to cutting waste and improving loyalty. It’s not about replacing the personal touch; it’s about using the data you already have to make better decisions, faster.

Additionally, AI is widely misunderstood today. Popular culture paints it as either a villainous overlord or a near-magical oracle. But in reality, AI is neither. It’s not conscious, not creative in a human sense, and definitely not infallible. At its core, AI is a sophisticated pattern recognition tool trained on massive amounts of data to produce seemingly intelligent outcomes. It doesn’t “think” or “understand”, it predicts. And those predictions can be eerily accurate or hilariously wrong depending on the quality of the data and the context. Patrick challenges the myths and explores the real nature of AI. Points that he plans to cover during his talk include the following:

  • Why calling it “intelligent” is misleading
  • How it’s more about statistics than sentience
  • What it can actually do today – and what it can’t
  • How our assumptions about AI are shaping policy, ethics, and innovation – often in dangerous or unhelpful ways
  • The goal isn’t to dismiss AI, but to demystify it – to show how it works, where it’s useful, where it’s overhyped, and most importantly, how to think about it clearly.

Patrick Clover, Founder, Stampede says, “This event brings together some of the greatest minds in the UK hospitality industry. Many hospitality businesses are trading within a challenging economic environment. We look forward to meeting operators that would like to transform how they connect with their customers to boost revenue and drive long-term customer loyalty. Our AI-enhanced guest engagement platform is proven: we’re excited to demonstrate how Stampede equips hospitality businesses to develop a data-led sales strategy that works; supporting business growth, increasing loyal customers, and driving positive reviews.”
